Set Account Dividend Rates

To set or change the dividend rates received by your individual member accounts, click on the Manage Program button and select "Set Account Dividend Rates."

Select whether you would like to change the dividend rate for all accounts in the program or for a specific account:

  • Selecting "For all accounts (not in Pricing Groups)" applies the new rate across every member account in your ModernFi program, excluding those that are currently in a Pricing Group. Accounts in a Pricing Group are managed from the Pricing Groups tab instead.
  • Selecting "For specific account" allows you to choose a particular account from the dropdown, which displays each account's current rate. If an account is currently in a Pricing Group, it must be removed before you can adjust its dividend rate individually - Pricing Group accounts will not display in the dropdown.

Next, configure the rate structure. Account dividend rates can be set to a variety of structures, including:

  • Fixed Rate: static dividend rate (can be entered nominally or as APY)
    • Nominal: stated annual dividend rate that does not account for compounding
    • APY: effective annual return that includes the impact of compounding
  • Floating Rate: variable rate that tracks a market index or a custom, institution-defined index (see Using Floating Rates for more information)
  • Tiered Rate: rate structure that applies different dividend rates based on balances held in the network - click "Add balance tier" to define balance bands, and note that each tier can independently use a fixed or floating rate

Once your rate is configured, click "Continue" to review a summary of the change, then confirm to apply it. The new rate takes effect immediately for the selected accounts.

Note: Rates set here are applied to existing active accounts only. To configure rates for future accounts, create a Pricing Group.
