Close an account

The ModernFi program leads at partner financial institutions can close accounts on behalf of their EIA depositors directly through the Admin Portal.

To begin the process, program leads should ensure that all funds for the account you are trying to close have been withdrawn from the network. Once that is completed, navigate to the “Manage Program” section and select “Close Account.”

From the Account ID dropdown menu, choose the account you wish to close and click “Submit.” Once a closure request is submitted, ModernFi will execute on the request and add the account to the Closed Accounts data table in the Admin Portal.

If a member closes their account before the end of the month, the platform will still calculate the dividends accrued daily while the account was open and post them at month-end. A final statement and closure confirmation will be provided for compliance and internal recordkeeping.
