Withdrawing Funds
Members can request a withdrawal from their Extended Insurance Account at any time, directly through the Member Portal. To initiate a withdrawal, the member clicks the "Manage Accounts" button at the top right of the portal and selects "Initiate Transfer". They'll be prompted to select the specific account and enter the withdrawal amount - the portal displays their current balance, and the amount cannot exceed it. After clicking "Continue", they review a summary of the transfer (account title, transaction type, and amount) and click "Submit" to confirm. This initiates the withdrawal process and begins transferring the requested funds back to their account at your credit union. The withdrawal appears immediately in the portal's Transactions tab, where the member can track its status from Pending to Posted.
The accompanying video provides a step-by-step visual walkthrough of this process, showing how to access the withdrawal flow, input the necessary details, and confirm the request. It's designed to help your team confidently guide members through withdrawing funds from the Member Portal.
Funds move between the network and your credit union once per day. If the withdrawal is initiated before 2:00pm ET, your member will have access to those funds same-day. Transactions initiated after 2:00pm ET will be available at your credit union on the next business day.
Your credit union continues to own the member relationship, and all cash withdrawals must flow through your credit union. Your members do not interact directly with other credit unions in the network for money movement. Note that initiating withdrawals requires Full Access - Read-Only portal users can view their account but cannot transact.
