Request New Target Balance

The Request New Target Balance feature in the ModernFi Admin Portal lets your institution manage how much it aims to receive from the deposit network each day. This amount, called the Target Balance, represents the maximum deposits your institution is willing to receive. Allocations are managed daily to meet your institution’s demand within the limits you set.

When the Reciprocate Fully toggle is enabled, your institution automatically matches the balance of your sweep program, supporting a two-way relationship in which you both place funds into and receive deposits from the network. This setting automates the placement process and removes the need to manually update your target balance as your sweep program grows.

When Reciprocate Fully is disabled, you can still participate manually by setting a custom target balance or by operating in a receive-only capacity. To submit a new target balance, go to Manage Program → Set New Target Balance, enter the desired amount, and click Submit. A Pending Request will appear in the Requests table confirming your submission.
