Managing Users in the Admin Portal

The User Management section of the Admin Portal gives Institution Admins and User Management Admins a single, centralized place to manage all users across both the Admin Portal and the Member Portal. From this module, you can invite new users, manage pending invitations, copy or revoke invite links, and reset passwords directly.

To access User Management, navigate to Settings in the Admin Portal and scroll down to the User Management section.

Admin Users
The Admin Users tab displays all users who currently have access to your institution's Admin Portal, along with their assigned access level.

Note: If your institution uses Single Sign-On (SSO), Admin Users are managed through your identity provider (IdP), and the invitation and password reset options below will not appear in your portal. Please contact the ModernFi CUSO team for guidance.

Inviting a New Admin User

  1. Open the Invited Admin Users tab and click "Invite Admin User".
  2. Enter the user's work email address (personal email providers are not accepted) and select their access level.
  3. Click "Submit", then review the invitation summary and click "Confirm" for the user to receive an email invitation with a link to create their account.

Managing Pending Invitations
Open the Invited Admin Users tab to view all pending invitations, including when each was sent and when it expires. From here you can:

  • Resend Invite: Send the invitation email again.
  • Copy Invite Link: Retrieve the invitation link to share directly with the user.
  • Revoke: Cancel a pending invitation. Once revoked, the invite link becomes inactive and the invitation is removed from the list.

Invitations that lapse are marked with an "Expired" badge - send a new invite if this happens.

Editing an Admin User's Access
From the Admin Users tab, click the edit (pencil) icon next to a user, select their new access level, and click "Submit".

Disabling and Re-enabling Admin Users
To remove a user's access, open the edit window and click "Disable", then confirm. Disabled users are labeled "Disabled" and can no longer sign in. To restore access, open the edit window again and click "Re-enable User". Users are disabled rather than deleted, so access can always be reinstated.

Resetting an Admin User's Password
From the Admin Users tab, click "Reset Password" next to the user whose password you'd like to reset. They will receive an email with a link to set a new password.

Member Users
The Member Users tab displays all Member Portal users associated with your institution, including each user's email, access level (Read-Only or Full Access), and associated member details.
Note: This section is for inviting existing members to access their Member Portal. New members must be added in your Sweep Program.

Inviting a New Member User

  1. Open the Invited Member Users tab and click "Invite Member User".
  2. Enter the user's email address.
  3. Select the existing member that the user will be granted access to, and assign their access level (Read-Only or Full Access).
  4. Click "Submit", then click "Confirm" for the user to receive an email invitation to create their Member Portal account.

Once the member accepts the invitation and creates their account, they will appear in the Member Users tab.

Managing Pending Member Invitations
Open the Invited Member Users tab to view all pending member invitations, with the same options to resend, copy, or revoke invite links.

Resetting a Member User's Password
From the Member Users tab, click "Reset Password" next to the user and confirm to send them a password reset email.

Wire Contacts
The Wire Contacts tab manages the individuals at your institution who receive money movement correspondence - including daily wire transaction emails and monthly statement emails. Click "Add Wire Contact" to add a contact, or use the edit icon to update or remove an existing one.
